The aims of feminism:
1. To fight for the FREEDOM and EQUALITY of women
2. To end practices and social norms that harm the freedom and quality of women

Science and technology have expanded the freedom and equality of women to only a limited extent. Given the many ways to conquer and spread the awareness of increased equality of women, discrimination still exist within certain conservative societies where its people are fixated on their culture and beliefs that downplayed the potential of women and trap women in their traditional roles of being a domestic housewife and a subordinate to their men.

Advertising of women and using the technology of digital retouching have caused females to be more self-conscious about their appearance. The wide exposure and displaying of female models after digital retouching has result in the society to view women who are flawless and slim to be the ideal type of body, which all females would want to achieve. Females start to depend on slimming pills, dieting related products to help them in achieving the 'ideal body' size. This can be seen the consumption of weight loss products.
